The quality of life is multifaceted, but it's fairly easy to see how the residents of Carmel, Indiana have a great quality of life. With a population of just under 100,000 people, Carmel is a decent-sized suburb that is still growing. The city is home to some of the best schools in all of Indiana, making it an ideal place for families. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy the annual CarmelFest, an Independence Day celebration that draws an impressive crowd of 50,000 people.

There is a reputation that has been following the residents of Carmel for a long time - that they are all rich and very nervous. However, this is not necessarily true. Carmel offers its residents incredible opportunities to network and participate in the community. The city center is full of activity, with summer bands playing from home windows.

The Monon Trail, a 27-mile-long multi-purpose pedestrian and bicycle trail that extends to Sheridan, Indiana from downtown Indianapolis, also runs through Carmel and the Arts District. People who move here from other cities are often surprised by how friendly everyone is in Carmel. While nearby Zionsville narrowly surpasses Carmel as Indianapolis's most expensive suburb, it's not by far. When deciding if this suburb of Indianapolis is the right place for you, there are a few facts to consider. The city has a great quality of life with plenty of opportunities for networking and participating in the community.
